What are the aims of IVF e-learning?
Fertaid is about Education and training. Many IVF staff get into IVF with only on-the job training or post graduate training that is academic in nature. There are few facilities for staff actively involved in IVF to participate in ongoing education and training. This is where IVF e-Learning steps in. Its aim is to provide a continuous and interesting way to learn about things in IVF that you may need. Its approach is to provide a number of ways for you to learn.

  How does it work?
Access to any of the modules is by a credit system, You purchase a number of credits and you can use them in any of the divisions listed below.
You can choose any module at any time in any order .Complete the tasks as you wish.
Print out or review your performance and activity.
FERTAID has developed an integrated approach to education whereby a number of different options are available to you. These include the divisions listed above

  How could it be used?
FertAid can see a number of ways IVF e-Learning could be used but we are sure there will be ways we haven't thought of yet but here is a few ideas..

Student
If you are completing a university degree and wish to work in IVF or you are completing a post graduate IVF course, then you could complete lots of modules to round out your education and do the QAPonline modules to demonstrate to a future employer you have some skills to an international standard.

Just started
IVF is a technically challenging area and on-the-job training is all about the technical aspects. That's fine but few clinics have an education programme so can can use IVF e-Learning as a tool to supplement your training

Experienced
There are many experienced IVF staff, both scientific and nursing/clinical that are well read and academically orientated so this might be a bit of fun. However, there are many experienced staff who no longer keep up the the literature and using IVF e-Learning may just be what you need. We know IVF is very busy so the good thing is that you can do these exercises when you have time.

Job Applicant
There are lots of jobs in IVF and an increasing number of applicants. So why don't you complete as many modules as you can to both impress the advertising clinic and demonstrate that with respect to visual skills, your performance is within the current professional ranges.

Employers
If you are advertising a job, why not ask the applicants to register with FERTAID and complete a number of task. You can use these to provide assess the skills of the applicants before you make the final decision.

Clinic Director
You can subscribe to FERTAID to provide all your staff with a number of credit units and ask them to complete some task as part of an in-house education programme. You could run some IVF training or IVFCPD modules as an in-house seminar etc.

Course Coordinator
IF you run a post graduate course, you can organise with FERTAID for your students to have access to some of the modules as part of their course.

  How much does it cost?
Fertaid has developed a system of purchased credits to allow you by buy the number you need. But the great thing about buying credits is that it allows FERTAID to provide significant discounts the more you buy so. The best deal is for 100 credits the fee is $AUD 250. You can do a lot with 100 credits.
There is a number of ways you can access the credit system
