In recent years, FertAid has developed several new features designed to assist you in the management of of your clinics quality activities.
The initial and primary function of FertAid was the development of a web based program for External Quality Assurance for IVF focusing on Andrology, Embryology and Ultrasound. The basic building process for this activity is individual staff participation in the EQA schemes but where each staff member is linked to individual laboratories and to the parent organisation. From this layered structure, QAPonline builds an Internal Quality Control process and then by combining laboratories, an External Quality Assurance Program.
However, quality assurance is built on both assessment and education. QAPonline has always provided additional questions to provide participants with tools to better evaluate their performance. From 2011, a series of education programmes will be available to assist in the professional development of your staff. These education tools include structured information, reviews, journal clubs and monthly textbook quiz
Fertaid mail is a selection of hyperlinks to recent publications and news items that may assist your staff in keeping in touch with what is new. The key aspect of FertAid Mail is that each link that is viewed becomes part of your professional development register.
Under development in 2011, the chat room is education based on articles, EQA schemes, and accreditation issues.
Started in 2011, IVFLabonline is intended to provide a forum where products and technical information may be exchanged.
Perhaps the most innovative development of FertAid has been IVF Benchmarking. Using totally anonymous registrations,IVF BenckMark allow a clinic to plot and assess their key performance as a quality process with alarm and action limits as an internal activity. Anonymous benchmark comparison with other groups permits the comparison between different groups. Contact FertAid for more information.
